I was asked to go to- https://www.spellzone.com/ and answer some questions about the site based on its UI/UX
Who are the users of spellzone?
The users of Spellzone are students that come to study independently and learn English spelling.
Are the users the same as the customers?
I want to say yes and no as in most cases the customers would be the ones paying for the subscriptions and would most likely be teachers however it also seems you can signup on your own so in those cases yes the users would be customers.
But I think its more likely the question is asking that the users are the ones that would navigate and look around the site and they would be potential customers or users.
How are the different groups Segmented?
In the course section there are 4 groups and there lessons separated if that’s what the question is refereeing to however if its referring to how the students and teachers are separated there are two sections of information for both teachers and students.
How does the design engage them?
Straight of the bat, the front page has statistics of how many people have used the site to show how useful it has been which tells anyone that comes onto the site that its a good resource.
The coloful background with the stars encases the important information and does not divert your gaze instead it sends your eyes towards the middle and makes you want to read what’s so important rather than look around.
it’s a simple design that makes it easy to navigate as there are only a few things to click on at the top of the page.
When you go to the courses and choose one they have images to make sure you know what the words are as well as someone saying what the word is which is very helpful for learning.
