Overall Project Plan
My Major Project is going to be a series of asset packs that will be individually packaged but can also be bundled together into one Group called “The Dream House Bundle” which will have a discount on it be because you are buying them all together as one big bundle rather than individually or at least that’s the plan. The Overall idea is to generate money for myself so I can become self-sufficient in the real world.
I will need to do various research into a multitude of things to do with the industry and asset packs as a whole but I will also have to show how these assets can be used in general and to do that I will use the entire Asset pack to create a short Horror game Trailer/teaser which will prove this fact in tandem to showing off the assets.
This Is the idea I came with to my fellow classmates and they had some ideas on what I was doing & to illustrate that I brought along a basic Floor plan of the house itself using an online tool (Floor Plan Creator).
Group Discussion
One of my classmates said I should think about a brand or company to sell these assets under and I had thought about it previously & I think it should be called “Absoluelty nothing studios” but I’ll discuss why later on and in more detail. This classmate also mentioned It would be prudent to come up with some brands for fake products that could be dotted around my house.
Another Classmate mentioned that The small bedroom was infact too small & I agreed with him but I also mentioned this was my Dream house specifically and that bedroom was mine, the reason its so small is to separate the sleeping and working areas of the house. They also asked if I was going to have animated assets such as doors and the like but I explained that most wont have predetermined animations but I could look into how to set them up.
It seemed most of my classmate’s responses were towards how this pack would be used in the long run & how it would make me money and those questions are important and will be answered in the next post that covers all those concerns.
