The alchemy equipment was quite time-consuming since there were many things to make staring with potion bottles which I used an image of some authentic bottles I found (Potion Bottle – 20 Milliliters – MY100775 – Medieval Collectibles, 2020)
Creating the potion bottle was a lot quicker than I thought it would be because I decided to use curves which I then converted into polys before editing it slightly and smoothing I out to create the shape of the bottle.
The corks for the bottles where just made from a cylinder than I scaled on one end.
I used the same basic techniques when making the candle but instead of using curves I just used a cylinder and then soft selected it.
Using the same method as I used for the bottle I started making a piece of alchemy equipment which is a bottle and stand but I added a flask underneath it just for extra detail I used an image as a reference for all of these (Drink et al., 2020)
After I had the basic shape of the bottle I added a top to it which I later separated from the bottle.
Creating the second piece of alchemy equipment was alot like the first since i used curves to make the glass bottle however for ths stand I started with a cylinder which I extruded and beveled to get that rounded look the flask holder was much of the same.
Creating the flask was just taking a sphere and cutting off the top extruding, beveling and soft s
electing.
The hourglass was again a lot of the same methods to create especially the glass section since it was the same as the flask however the pillars are actually duplicated pillars from the desk.
The textures for all these items where the same as I had previously used apart from the hourglass, potion bottle and candle in which I added in 3 new textures a new type of wood since the cork required a different type and the hourglass looks better with it for the pillars also on the hourglass I added in sand which was just a PNG I found on google.
The candle on the other hand was just a normal lambert texture I added a yellowish tint too since I had no idea how to even go about making wax.
