Shinto Shrine, Rocks & Tori Gates

I created a list of assets I needed to make to hand off to my teammates and the first set of assets would obviously require textures and so I hopped into substance painter to create some of those.

The first one I made was a mossy rock texture which I used by combining a bunch of other textures together and just keeping what I wanted I’m still new to substance painter so I can’t do it perfectly but it ended up looking roughly what I wanted I then took the mossy rock and modified it to have no moss for normal type ground.

I also made a roofing texture for buildings as well as red and black wood which I knew I would need for Japanese tori gates and shrines the last texture is a default texture in substance painter.

I can use these textures for more than one asset to make work easier.

Mossy Rock
Ground Rock
Roofing
Red Wood
Black Wood
Default Wood Preset

Below are the assets I made for my teammates they consist of a Normal Tori gate as well as a water variety that is larger and with extra supports because it gets submerged into the water I then made a Shinto shrine and some simple rocks this is only the first round of assets I plan to make but they turned out looking rather well for what they are.

To test the assets and make sure they worked as intended I imported them into Unreal engine before I handed them off to the rest of my team this is because Unreal is the program we will be using to create the game and I needed to be sure they would not be corrupted by any means so I tested them.

I had to learn how to scale things correctly to get them to import into unreal at the right size otherwise it would just look bad and would not be good for my other teammates.
